Harrogate enjoys a vast amount of quality eateries all nestled within its historic town and picturesque streets. We’ve whittled down the restaurant options and curated a list of the best places to eat in Harrogate in 2024 during your stay with us…

Stuzzi   46B Kings Road – 01423 705852

Stuzzi (short for stuzzichini – little plates) is the place to head for those who love Italian cuisine done a little bit differently. A bustling restaurant with heaps of character and knowledgeable staff, this a firm favourite of ours.

Betty’s   1 Parliament Street HG1 2QU – 01423 814070

Bettys Tearooms are famous the world over and for good reason. Bettys is one of the most popular restaurants in Harrogate and is the place to head for a charming “old school’ service, traditional dishes and a delectable afternoon tea. Be prepared to queue outside but that’s all part of the Betty’s experience!

The Ivy 7-9 Parliament Street –  01423 787100

Standing proud on Parliament Street is The Ivy Harrogate. Decked out in bright colours and bespoke art, The Ivy offers all-day casual dining in a sumptuously sophisticated setting and prides itself on an unique mix of both comfort food and international dishes…the Monkfish & Prawn Curry is a particular favourite of mine 😉 All this plus the vast number of dishes on the menu makes it one of the most popular restaurants in Harrogate.

The Orchid 46B Kings Rd  – 01423 705852

A firm favourite amongst Harrogate’s foodies, The Orchid, located in the Studley Hotel serves up fresh, locally sourced pan-Asian dishes. Along with an extensive drinks list The Orchid is a good choice if you’re looking for a taste of the Orient in a sophisticated setting.

The Fat Badger Cold Bath Rd, Harrogate HG2 0NF – 01423 505681

Just around the corner from the apartments is this classic British gastropub. A traditional setting with a shiny wood bar, leather booths and lots of polished brass, this AA Rosette awarded restaurant is a well established favourite with guests and locals alike. The Fat Badger serves good British pub grub such as burgers and steaks and great Sunday roasts. There really are few places better suited to whiling away an afternoon in Harrogate.

William & Victoria’s  Cold Bath Road, Harrogate, HG2 0NA – 01423 506883

A short walk from the apartments, William and Vic’s is a bit of a Harrogate institution and another clear favourite with locals, all of our guests rave about their experience here. Family run, a cosy atmosphere with impeccable service, it offers a bistro style wine bar as well as a restaurant serving excellent food, my recommendation is the beef cooked in red wine with horseradish dumplings… delicious!

Drum & Monkey  Montepellier Gardens, Harrogate HG1 2TF – 01423 502650

The Drum & Monkey fish restaurant has been a well established favourite for 30 years and is renowned amongst residents and visitors for its top quality seafood and the intimate, relaxed character of the interior. Signature dishes consistently based on the freshest, finest seafood have earned a loyal following with lobster, halibut, sea bass and oysters on offer.

Pranzo Italian Harrogate  31 – 37 Cold Bath Road

Our new favourite is Pranzo Italian Harrogate, a family owned authentic Italian restaurant… all of their pasta and breads are home made and they import all of their Italian ingredients.. the restaurant has a great intimate atmosphere and the staff are really lovely and very well informed. Pranzo is fast becoming one of Harrogate’s favourite places to eat.. not to be missed and on the end of St Mary’s Avenue so super handy!
