Staycaysuk Terms & Conditions

Please read these conditions carefully. All reservation requests are considered to be an acceptance of these conditions.

Contract

When you make a booking with Staycaysuk you enter into a contract for which the following terms & conditions apply.

The booking will be accepted and the contract will apply when Staycaysuk issues an email to you confirming your booking.

Booking

You may make a booking by either;

Bookings must be made by persons over 18 years old

Payments & refunds

Staycaysuk accepts all major credit & debit cards. There is no charge for using a credit card. Cheques are not an acceptable method of payment. Overseas guests may pay in pounds sterling by Mastercard, Visa or by electronic transfer. Any charges for payments from overseas will be passed onto you.

Once Staycaysuk has confirmed the booking to you a minimum administration fee of £25.00 plus vat is payable for all changes to the booking.

Bookings made within 4 weeks of your holiday start date must be paid for in full, including any additional charges and security deposit.

Upon payment of the deposit, you will remain liable for the full holiday rental when due if this has not already been paid.

For a booking made more than 4 weeks before your holiday start date a deposit of 30% of the total rate is payable. This deposit is non-refundable. Upon payment of the deposit and subject to acceptance of the booking, the balance of the rent plus the security deposit must be made on or by the date which is 4 weeks prior to the holiday start date. Staycaysuk will inform you of the payment date at the time of booking and remind you by email before this date. If the balance is not paid on or by the payment date you authorise Staycaysuk to debit the bank card provided for the balance on the payment date. If payment of the balance is not received by Staycaysuk on or by 3 weeks before the holiday start date Staycaysuk reserve the right to cancel the reservation & retain the deposit. No refunds will be provided for a cancellation of the holiday after payment has been received

Cancellation

If you should need to cancel the booking for any reason you must notify Staycaysuk in writing via the email address stated in these Booking conditions.

If you should cancel 4 weeks prior to your booking the deposit amount will not be returned. If your cancellation is less than 4 weeks to your booking Staycaysuk reserve the right to keep the full balance.

Should Staycaysuk be successful in re-letting the property for your rental period, upon receipt of monies for the new booking we will return the balance paid minus the deposit.

Should you wish to cut short your holiday before the end of the rental period no refund shall be given for the period of time during your rental period where you do not occupy the property

Rental Period

The rental period commences unless otherwise notified at 4:00pm on the day of arrival and terminates at 10:00am on the day of departure

Use Of Property

You agree that the number of people staying in Staycaysuk will not exceed the maximum number stated on the website

You agree that Staycaysuk will be used for personal and domestic purposes only. You shall not use the property for any commercial purpose, Staycaysuk reserves the right to terminate without notice and without refund for a breach of this condition.

You agree that Staycaysuk will not be used for any activity or in such a way as to cause a nuisance or annoyance to neighbours of the property

Care Of Property & Security Deposit

You and all members of your party agree to keep Staycaysuk and its contents in the same condition and repair as found on your arrival. Please refer to the property’s inventory for a list of all items included in the property

If either you or any of your party by act or omission cause damage to Staycaysuk and or its contents you agree to pay Staycaysuk upon written demand any reasonable costs incurred in making good any such loss or damage.

When paying the balance, you authorise us to take up to £500 for any damage that occurs at the property during your stay. Staycaysuk will provide photographs and a written report to confirm any damage before taking payment to cover costs.

Please note you will not be charged for the odd broken glass or cup however charges will be made for any damage to the property or its contents or if any additional cleaning costs are incurred.

Fake tan, hair dyes & henna products are not permitted to be used in Staycaysuk properties and any costs associated with extra cleaning/replacement by any of these will be taken from your authorised security deposit provision.

You must ensure that Staycaysuk is left in a reasonable clean & tidy state on your departure. Staycays may charge you for the cost of any additional cleaning should this be deemed necessary.

Property Keys

Staycaysuk will issue you with one set of keys to the property. All keys must be returned to the key safe on the departure date. If you lose a set of keys Staycaysuk will deduct the cost of the replacement from your security deposit.

Smoking

You or your party are not permitted to smoke in any part of the properties or its grounds. If it is evident that smoking has occurred during your stay you may be required to vacate the property and forfeit the remainder of your holiday. At the departure date no sign of smoking shall be evident at the property otherwise a charge may be made to rectify the issue by the effects of members of your party smoking up to and including liability for the cost of cancelling all or part of any subsequent bookings if the property has been rendered uninhabitable

Pets

Pets are not permitted to stay at the properties

Cots & high chair

A travel cot & high chair are supplied at the properties on request. Both of these meet European safety standards and Staycaysuk are not able to ensure that the cot is erected for your arrival for health and safety reasons. All baby bedding & linen must be provided by you.

Bed linen & towels

Clean bed linen will be provided at the start of your stay. No change of bed linen will be provided except where the duration of the rental is for 2 full weeks in which case a weekly change of bed linen will be provided. One bath sheet & one hand towel are provided for you and each member of your party plus 2 t-towels. Additional hand towels are provided in each toilet facility. A charge will be deducted from the security deposit in respect of each towel lost or damaged.

Rubbish & recycling

You are required to put refuse/recycling in the appropriate place to await collection in accordance with the instructions provided at your property. You are also required to return the bin to the appropriate location following collection. Please notify Staycaysuk should a collection be missed.

Wifi

Saycaysuk includes Wifi for its guests. However, no warranty is given as to the speed of the Wifi service nor its reliability. The Wifi service is provided with the expectation that speeds/data allowance may be limited and no compensation will be given as a consequence of slow speeds/over consumption of data usage. Wifi may. Not be available at all times and is provided for pleasure and not business purposes. Bookings cannot be accepted if they are reliant on the provision of uninterrupted and unlimited provision of Wifi.

Access

You or your party must allow Staycaysuk to the holiday property at all reasonable times and in the case of an emergency at all times with or without you or your party being present to enable maintenance work to be carried out, allow visits to allow Staycaysuk to comply with all relevant statutory requirements and the requirement of all regulatory bodies to which Staycaysuk belong relating to the property. Staycaysuk shall be allowed access to the property at any reasonable time during any holiday occupancy

Personal Belongings/Lost Property

Staycaysuk does not accept any liability in relation to any damage to, or loss of your personal property and belongings except where such damage or loss is caused by the negligence of Staycaysuk. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have adequate holiday insurance cover. Lost property will be held for a period of 14 days from the departure date. Items will be returned to you if requested & you will be asked to cover the cost of postage & packing. Staycaysuk does not accept responsibility for the safe carriage of any items returned.

Health & Safety

For your safety, it is important that you read and adhere to the important information provided within Staycaysuk. This information includes; Fire Safety Notices and evacuation procedures as well as other information regarding appliances. Staycaysuk has ensured the property is reasonably safe for the purpose of our customers’ needs however each customer has a duty of care to take care of his or her own safety. Please ensure that you use the facilities safely & responsibly.

Complaints Procedure

Should you need to raise a complaint during your stay please contact Staycaysuk to allow us the opportunity to investigate. Please give full details on email & Staycaysuk will make ensure that your complaint is dealt with quickly & efficiently. Under no circumstances will compensation be made for complaints raised after the holiday has ended if the customer has not informed Staycaysuk of their complaint nor given them the opportunity to resolve the issue during their holiday.

Liability & Compensation

Staycaysuk cannot accept responsibility or pay compensation for failure to perform any of its obligations if such failure results from events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control, such as breakdown of appliances, plumbing or wiring, loss of internet access, neighbouring building works, interruption of utility services or invasion by pests. Staycaysuk shall have no liability for any death or personal injury unless this results from the negligence of Staycaysuk.

Covid-19 Refund Policy

Bookings made after 23rd March 2020 are fully transferrable or refundable only in the event that lockdown restrictions do not enable guests to travel or stay at the property. Otherwise our standard T&C’s apply. All bookings are made and accepted in the knowledge that there may be disruption to local attractions, shops and cafes/restaurants. We cannot be held responsible for any matters outside of our control during these unprecedented times.

Covid 19 Guest Policy

Anyone displaying symptoms prior to their arrival must contact us immediately, please do not travel to the property. If you provide us with evidence of a positive test we will re-arrange your stay with us.

If you or someone in your party develops symptoms or receives appositive test result during the stay we politely request that you notify us and make arrangements to return home immediately. Isolating in our property is not something we can accommodate and we need to take the appropriate action to clean and disinfect the property once you have departed.

If you do not return home and remain in the property beyond your original return date we will charge you for the additional days you reside in the property. We will also charge you for compensation for the guest who would have their stay interrupted due to your decision to remain in the property. We appreciate your full co-operation on this matter.

The competition is open to anyone 18 years or over except employees of Staycaysuk and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.

There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

The route to entry for the competition is to like the post on our Facebook Page.

Any additional action (including sharing a post, commenting, watch party, tagging etc) are done at the entrant’s discretion and do not impact the outcome of the giveaway.

We will at no point contact any entrant via Direct Message to say they have won the giveaway and ask for a payment. 

Please do not give any billing information via messenger on Facebook to anyone who might try and pass off as an employee of Staycaysuk

We have the right to allow more than one entry per competition at times. We will notify specifically in the post if this is the case

Closing date for entry will be stated in the post of the Facebook page. After this date, then no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

The prize will be clearly stated in the Facebook Post

The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

Winners will be chosen at random via the software platform that we will share if anyone wants to know more

The winner will be notified by a notification on Facebook and within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected

The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts.

The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
